Lanvin
Simplicity at its best… for Lanvin 2010 collection.
Nothing beats a simple style on a model with good bone structure. This one is practically all one length with a full fringe, black and shiny, but as you can see, can have the best effect, no matter how simple it is.

Merry Christmas to all you readers out there.. thought it appropriate to share this post with you, as it seems Christmas is a time where we really do end up wanting to tear your own hair out!!!

Trichotillomaniac – the constant urge to tear out their own hair..
An interesting article I found on The Daily Mail Online about women who literally tear their hair out!!
Estimated to affect between 2 to 4% of the population, (more than a million in England alone) including a small number of men too, which would put Trichotillomaniac (also known as Tricho or TMM) with other conditions like anorexia and anxiety attacks. Almost unheard of by the general public as well as some doctors.
For some this condition is triggered by serious emotional trauma and great stress, However it starts, it becomes meditative and self calming and more often than not, they have no idea they are doing it. They can end up pulling out so much hair that they are left with bald patches throughout their head. Although usually its the scalp that is attacked, its been known for some to tear out eyelashes and eyebrows.
Wigs, hairpieces can help to mask the problem and hypnotherapy can help to control the suffocating impulse to pull.

Hairstyles by Leonardo Manetti

Found these looks in a magazine and thought they were really cute, The whole session was with the same girl but with a different look for each outfit. The looks were very ‘rocker chick’ meets ‘rocker billy’ look, Love it, Thanks Leonardo!

Dove Palmer is Creative Director for Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in London, UK. He also ran the Masters Academy for them too and has made 3 DVD step by step videos as well helped in contributing at least 12 haircut pictures for the Academy Photo collection. I came across Dove's work on Facebook and instantly LOVED the exquisite work done by him. Funnily enough Dove turned out to have the same mentor as I did back in the day. Stacey Broughton (also from Sassoons) has been his mentor since he went to work for Sassoon's. I definitely spotted the Stacey traits in the haircuts.

I have so many different styles to show you that he has done over the years that I have decided to split them up into 3 slide shows so that we can make the most of showcasing his work. Dove's specialty seems to be on Asian hair, whether its because he tours to the Far East to do seminars so much (and for up to 4months at a time) or maybe its because his wife has so many friends that needs to utilise his craft, I don't know, but whatever it may be, I'm so happy to be able to show you his creative work on Asian hair. Here is part 1 of 3, I will show you the others at a later date so look out for more of his precision cutting : )

Thanks Dove for letting me share with my readers.

Davines Nou Nou Shampoo for Colored Hair..

I have been using this shampoo for over 4 years now. I love it.. The whole Davines line is one of the product lines favored by Dekko Salon. Manufactured by Italian company Davines – Nou Nou Illuminating Shampoo for color treated hair. I don't normally like to use conditioner on my hair as I prefer to have it all ratty and feel fuller, so with the Nou Nou shampoo, I feel as though it is moisturizing enough on its own that I don't need to use a conditioner as well. It lathers well and with one application, I feel like my scalp is clean and moisturized.

For those who do use conditioner, Nou Nou also makes the conditioner cream for color treated hair. I have tried it and found it to be not too heavy, so it doesn't leave your hair too flat and soft.

Comes in handy travel sizes that I love, fillable bottles that you can use for a long time.

TRUE OR FALSE:

Q: Will rinsing the hair with cold water after a shampoo give you shinier hair?

FALSE!

A: Rinsing with cold water will have no effect on the shine of your hair at all! (So don’t torture yourself)
